Elly is a Senior Associate in Global Counsel’s trade and manufacturing policy practice. She previously worked at the Department for International Trade and has experience supporting companies to navigate complex market access barriers in export markets.
At Global Counsel, Elly works with clients across a range of sectors to address practical barriers to trade and to engage with senior policymakers on trade-related topics.
Recent examples of her work include:
- Supporting clients in the automotive and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors to adjust their supply chain operations to meet new rules of origin requirements for EU-UK trade.
- Advising corporates and trade associations in the life sciences sector on their advocacy strategies towards ongoing UK trade negotiations.
- Working with a food and drink company to devise a ‘regulatory diplomacy’ strategy to reduce non-tariff barriers in export markets and to increase cross-border collaboration on sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures.
