Leanne is an Associate in the financial service practice. She has a degree in Politics, a Masters in Global Political Economy and previously worked as a policy analyst at the G7 Summit in Canada. 

At Global Counsel, Leanne advises clients on policy, regulatory and political issues across financial services and TMT policymaking, helping clients understand both the risks and opportunities. 

She regularly works on policy monitoring, stakeholder engagement, consultation advice and political briefings. 

Recent examples of her work include:

  • Creating a comprehensive overview of the UK financial services landscape for a large investment bank, providing analysis on key areas of political focus.
  • Advising a fintech company on how to respond to a Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) review on the protection regime for interbank payments. 
  • Working on a political due diligence project for a cash operator, identifying commercial trends driving a decline in cash access in the UK, and where policymakers are seeking to legislate in this respect.
