Oona
Palmer
Oona is a Research Analyst in Global Counsel’s trade and manufacturing policy practice. She was a member of the Young Diplomats of Canada delegation to the 2022 WTO Public Forum and previously worked as a research analyst for CANFAX where she provided statistical and market information on Canadian agriculture market trends. Her academic research focused on the North American Free Trade Agreement.
At GC Oona provides research and analysis on political and regulatory developments in trade policy.
Recent examples of her work include:
- Working with a UK food and drink company to anticipate regulatory risk and adapt its supply chains post-Brexit
- Providing research to corporates and trade associations in the life science sector in support of their engagement at the WTO and in UK trade negotiations.
- Supporting clients with horizon scanning on multilateral and free trade negotiations to navigate risks and future opportunities
