Clio helps clients engage on policies including payments, capital markets and financial inclusion.
Clio is an Associate in the Financial Services team at Global Counsel. Prior to joining GC, Clio worked at Rud Pedersen UK providing political and policy monitoring and public affairs advice during the 2024 UK general election. On financial services matters, Clio was previously a parliamentary assistance to the Economic Secretary to the Treasury and worked for the UK trade body UK Finance, on primary and secondary capital markets policy.
She holds a degree in International Politics and Spanish from the University of Bath, with a specialism in Latin American and gender politics and Spanish as a second language. At Global Counsel, Clio supports clients in navigating policy development across capital markets, financial inclusion and payments and digital assets. She works with clients to develop tailored outreach strategies and identify key stakeholders across regulatory, parliamentary and industry networks.
Previous examples of her work include:
- Leading a research project on access to retail investment for underserved communities, including developing industry and policy recommendations for government and regulators, offering policy analysis, and organising and analysing primary data.
- Organising several parliamentary-focused roundtables that included senior members of government, the civil service and parliament.
