Marley is an Associate Director in the UK Politics and Policy Practice at Global Counsel. Prior to joining GC, Marley spent a decade advising senior politicians on economic policy. Most recently, he worked for the UK Labour Party as an economic policy advisor to Rachel Reeves in her role as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. He previously worked in government, where he served as Head of Global Financial Partnerships in HM Treasury, led on energy and transport in the Prime Minister’s Brexit negotiations unit and advised two Secretaries of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government on housing and planning policy.

At Global Counsel he advises clients on navigating UK politics and policymaking, with a focus on supporting them to build an understanding of how key players across the UK Labour Party and government departments approach important political and economic decisions.
