Bart Myners

Bart is an Associate in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice. Prior to joining Global Counsel, Bart obtained an MA in Politics from the University of Edinburgh, writing his dissertation on the influence of online misinformation during the Brexit vote. Before this, Bart accumulated experience working alongside prominent Members of Parliament during the 2016 EU referendum and 2017 General Election campaigns.

At GC, Bart advises clients on UK and EU tech policy, including online harms, misinformation and mobility policy. Bart also leads media, social media and stakeholder monitoring and sentiment analysis for TMT clients.

Recent examples of his work include: 

  • Creating and operating an extensive tailor-made monitoring programme in Europe and the UK for a major global social media platform.
  • Generating detailed briefings investigating the regulatory and economic ecosystems of UK cities to inform the launch of a multinational mobility platform.
  • Devising a recommended plan of action for a major social media platform to comply with European regulatory environment regarding political advertising content.
