Hafsah is an Associate at Global Counsel. Hafsah holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Politics from Queen Mary, University of London, and a Masters degree in Middle East Politics from SOAS, University of London.

At GC Hafsah supports the Global Macro and MENA practices, with a focus on policy, project co-ordination and investment promotion. She works with colleagues across the GC London and Doha offices to support clients in Qatar.

Recent examples of her work include:

  • Providing a Qatar government entity with a fortnightly overview of competitor action in the region, by closely monitoring policy developments and trade investments in the Gulf, in areas of strategic interest to the client.
  • Analysing the shifting role of Gulf states in the geopolitical sphere, in light of current crises, and understanding how this may impact clients in the region. 
  • Establishing lifecycles of investment promotion outreach to companies in sectors of interest to clients.
