William
Sweet
William is a Director in the Global Investor Services team at Global Counsel. William’s background is in business and foreign policy. He was adviser to the UK Foreign Secretary, Trade Secretary and International Development Secretary. This followed a career with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Before this he worked for a strategy consultancy, advising private equity and corporates on commercial due diligence and strategy. He has a doctorate from Oxford University and is a local councillor.
At GC, William works with family offices, sovereign wealth, private equity and hedge funds to help them understand and mitigate policy, political and regulatory risk at both the portfolio and transaction level.
