Lea is an Associate in Global Counsel’s team in Germany with a focus on start-ups and platform companies. Lea has studied in Berlin, Sydney, and Athens, where she earned a master’s in political economy focused on European Integration, after initially graduating in Business Administration. During her studies, Lea worked at various start-ups in Berlin and has a deep understanding of operations and internal dynamics of high-growth companies in Germany’s tech sector.

At Global Counsel, Lea provides strategic guidance to tech companies, helping them to anticipate and adapt to legislative change. She assists clients in understanding and navigating the complexities of market entry, technology, and platform regulation in Germany, while always ensuring the clients’ business objectives remain a central focus.

Recent examples of her work include:

• Advising a battery cell producer on an investment decision in the German market. 
• Guiding a US-based technology client in their initial engagement within Berlin's AI start-up and policy ecosystem.
• Supporting a client from the platform industry in engaging with competition authorities from Austria and Luxembourg.
