Sylva works with major AI and IT companies and online platforms to help them understand and navigate the EU policy agenda.

Sylva is an Associate at Global Counsel. Sylva has a wealth of experience working in the EU institutions, having started her career working on telecoms, digital, and consumer policy in both the European Parliament and European Commission. 

Prior to joining GC, she was a Telecoms and Digital Attaché at the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU during the Czech EU Council Presidency, and a Policy Advisor at the Czech national regulator for electronic communications and postal services.

Recent examples of her work include:

  • Providing clients with a horizon scanning and analysis on EU’s digital, tech, and telecommunications policies and regulatory initiatives to navigate risks and opportunities. 
  • Working with clients to understand the EU’s Artificial Intelligence Act and decide how to engage with policymakers in the politically tricky endgame to finalise the legislation.
  • Providing intel and insight on policy and industry stakeholders to inform the design of EU advocacy strategies for clients in the tech sector.
