The GC senior team have decades of experience at the intersection of business, policy and politics. They regularly convert this experience into a wide range of specialist training for clients. These sessions are always customised to the client and designed to map onto their specific needs and circumstances. They can be delivered online or in person and can be accompanied with a range of resources that include targeted reading materials, video content and other learning aids.

Our experience

GC has produced both online and in person training products for a wide range of clients in the public and private sector and has partnered with institutions such as University College London to deliver major training products for government clients, including the UK Treasury, UK Department of International Trade and UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). It’s long-running Advanced Trade Policy (ATP) course for the FCDO has a 94% ‘Excellent’ Rating from users and is the most highly-rated programme of its type run by the FCDO.

This is specialist technical training designed to immerse trainees in the key questions of policy design in a specified area. We cover both the assumptions and aims of policymakers and the technical aspects of policy design. This training is popular with GC investor clients where deal teams are seeking to master a new area of policy quickly and comprehensively and in a way that identifies the commercial implications of policy design choices.

These sessions are a specialist training in the mechanics of policymaking in a defined area. From product authorisation and competition policy processes to the machinery of legislation, they are designed to ensure that a client has complete mastery of the formal and informal governmental processes with which they need to engage. This training can be a useful for strategy or legal teams to map out timeframes or other aspects of GANT chart planning for market entry, product authorisation or merger or FDI screening.

This training looks at how political brands are built and the critical ways in which they differ from investor and consumer brands. This training is often paired with proprietary polling to inform a client’s understanding of their own political brand.
