Global Counsel strengthens leadership team

Global Counsel, a leading strategic advisory, is delighted to announce its latest round of promotions of public policy consultants. These moves underscore the firm's commitment to growth and quality, providing first-class strategic advice, high-quality research, and insights from our global team and network.

Strengthened leadership

We are pleased to announce that Rebecca Park, who leads GC’s financial services practice from London, and Belma Ambrose, who oversees global programming and marketing from Washington DC, are taking on the role of Managing Director to help drive GC's global expansion.

Expanded senior team

Daniel Capparelli has assumed the position of Senior Practice Director, Trade, to continue expanding GC’s cross-border policy client work, particularly from a supply chain and distribution network perspective in wide-ranging sectors. Daniel is based in London. 

Ahmed Helal has been appointed as Country Director, Qatar, and Head of MENA, working to further consolidate our growth in the region two years after the launch of the Doha office in May 2021. Ahmed is based in Doha.

Lilah Howson-Smith steps up to Practice Director, UK Politics and Policy, to strengthen our position as an industry leader in the UK public policy advisory space, particularly as the UK looks to a potential change of government in 2024. Lilah is based in London.

Megan Stagman as Director, Technology, Media, and Telecoms, advising tech clients on the UK's approach to digital regulation and generative AI policy responses, focusing on online safety, data protection, and digital competition. Megan is based in London. 

Will Sweet as Practice Director, Global Investor Services, will lead expansion efforts with family offices, sovereign wealth funds, private equity, and hedge funds to understand and mitigate policy, political, and regulatory risks at both the portfolio and transaction level. Will is based in London. 

Finally, we are delighted to announce our newly promoted Associate Directors: Marissa Lee (Singapore, Asia Politics and Policy), Felix Cazalet (London, Global Investor Services), India Lucas (London, Delivery) and Matilda Milne (London, Brand).
