Melina is a Research Analyst in Global Counsel’s team in Germany with a focus on German energy policy. Prior to joining GC, Melina worked at a public policy consulting boutique that focused on German tech and mobility policy where she helped clients from across sectors navigating regulatory developments in Germany. Before that, she worked at the German development agency GIZ where she helped facilitate business partnerships in Africa and provided analyses on development projects to the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. 

At Global Counsel, Melina supports corporate clients and investors in understanding political and regulatory developments in Germany related to energy, climate, the industrial sector, and international trade.

Recent examples of her work include:

• Monitoring and assessing developments in energy policy, the industrial sector, and international trade
• Providing in-depth analysis on Germany’s Carbon Capture and Storage plans and identifying corresponding engagement opportunities 
• Briefing a client on geopolitical dynamics in the context of the Munich Security Conference.
