How can the UK get to net zero? In conversation with Lord Deben

Sustainability

On an event for the Global Counsel network, Elizabeth Beall, Climate and Sustainability Practice Lead and Geoffrey Norris, Senior Adviser, are joined by Lord Deben, Chair of the UK Committee on Climate Change and Former Secretary of State for the Environment.

They discuss the UK’s climate leadership role as the co-host of COP26 and the first country to set a net-zero commitment into law, and how the UK may approach its role post-Brexit and in light of covid-19. They also explore the feasibility and affordability of reaching the net-zero by 2050 target, and the importance of private sector investment.
