Rishi
 Patel

Rishi is Practice Director for Policy communications. He advises corporate and NGO clients on research, reputation and public affairs. Rishi also leads Global Counsel’s Social Impact Programme and other workplace culture initiatives. Rishi joined Global Counsel in 2017 as a consultant working across UK and European public policy issues. He previously worked in public affairs and corporate communications at FTI Consulting and Brunswick Group, as well as in the UK civil service. 

Outside of work, Rishi is an active campaigner and writer across local and national issues and policy development in the UK. Rishi is a keen linguist and speaks fluent Italian, French and Gujarati, as well as intermediate Spanish and Hindi. 

Recent examples of his work include: 

  • Leading polling projects on consumers’ perceptions of cash and the future of payments, and the cost of living in the UK.
  • Advising technology clients on articulating their contribution to society, across topics such as sustainability, innovation policy and digital skills.
  • Working with an international human rights NGO on crafting advocacy strategies around the international financial sanctions’ regime.
