Yi-Fang is an Associate in Global Counsel’s trade and manufacturing policy practice. She previously worked at the Department for International Trade and the World Trade Organization. She is a qualified lawyer with experience in trade policy, market access and dispute settlement.

At GC, she works with corporate and investor clients to resolve trade barriers and to navigate evolving trade policies and topics in the EU, the UK and globally.

Recent examples of her work include: 

  • Working with companies in the life sciences sector to advise on the practical implications of the trade deals, including UK-New Zealand FTA and the Northern Ireland Protocol.
  • Advising clients in the financial services industry on the trade aspects of the European Commission’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism proposal, including its WTO compatibility and the impact on business competitiveness.
  • Designing advocacy strategies for clients in the life science and food and drinks sectors for the UK’s upcoming free trade agreement negotiations as well as engagement at the WTO.
